Selena Gomez reportedly wrote a letter to Justin Bieber congratulating him on his engagement to Hailey Baldwin. It was a way for her to get some closure.
An insider told Star Magazine, “Selena was initially blindsided by Justin’s wedding plans. But after lots of contemplation realized it’s for the best, and told him so in a letter. She told pals it gave her enormous closure. It marked the end of a long, painful chapter of her life.”

As the two were one another’s first serious relationship, there was certainly a lot to unpack when they broke up. Gomez further hopes that Bieber’s marriage means she’ll never have to hear “Jelena” again.
“Selena doesn’t want to be linked to Justin forever,” another source revealed to HollywoodLife. “She really just wants to get on with her life. She doesn’t want to be part of the Justin circus anymore.”
