A group of poachers were trying to kill endangered rhinos and they became dinner for the local lion pride on a wildlife reserve…

Buzzfeed.com says that remains of the poachers were discovered near the lion pride at a wildlife reserve in Africa and that there must have been at least 3 poachers because “that’s how many pairs of shoes and gloves were found.” The poachers were also carrying a high-powered rifle with a silencer, wire cutters, an axe for cutting out the rhino horns, and enough food to last several days.”

There are less than 30,000 rhinos in the world and the article says that horns of rhinos have now “become more valuable than gold per gram”.

The owner of the reserve said, “I just thank my lions. They saved our rhinos from another onslaught.”
