In the never-ending quest for nutrition, someone just discovered that eating pizza for breakfast not only gives you nutrition that you need, but it’s a better option than another more traditional breakfast.

We’re not going to lie, this is kind of good sounding. Well, as good as pizza for breakfast can be, anyway. A dietician, Chelsey Amer, says that one slice of pizza has basically the same amount of calories as a regular bowl of cereal with whole milk. Here’s the thing though – the pizza actually is “better” for you though. She says there’s more protein in pizza which will help you feel fuller longer, and the pizza actually has more fat and less sugar than your average cereal, so the “sugar crash” won’t happen either.

So grab that leftover slice from the other night and go ahead and leave that cereal in the pantry, you’re good to go! After all, some school systems consider pizza to be a vegetable anyway (sort of). You don’t see a “vegetable toast crunch” cereal anywhere, do you?
