A man in New Zealand will be heading to prison after tricking a woman into having sex with him.

SF Gate is reporting that the 24-year-old pled guilty to sexual connection induced by threat on Friday.

According to the police report, this is how his scam worked: He appeared at the victim’s door “red-faced and bent over” and informed her that a group of people had beaten him up and forced him to drink poison. He also told her that there was no antidote, and he would only survive by sweating out the poison.

While the victim suggested he should run, he told her the toxins would only leave his body through certain activities. Then, the woman began receiving mysterious emails that corroborated the man’s story. They also said that in order to save the man, she would have to have perform four sexual acts on the man as well as have sexual intercourse with him three times before the 48 hours were up.

Believing this was necessary to save the man’s life, she consented to the demands. However, the woman began receiving threatening emails after the 48 hours were over. The new emails claimed that harm would come to her loved ones if she didn’t continue sleeping with the man. They also threatened to release naked pictures of the woman, and instructed her to let the man film their encounters.

Realizing the situation was only benefiting the strange man, she made the decision to call the police. At his trial, the unnamed man admitted to the con, and he will receive his sentence on May 25th.
