Lindsay Lohan Says #MeToo Movement Makes Women ‘Look Weak’
Lindsay Lohan is facing major heat for her recent comments regarding the #MeToo movement. She suggested that it makes otherwise strong women appear weak.

Since its conception, Lindsay Lohan has faced backlash for many comments she’s made regarding the #MeToo Movement.
When The Times asked about her thoughts on workplace harassment, the actress claimed she didn’t have much to say. “I can’t speak on something I don’t live, right?”
Though starting her Hollywood career young, she said she never witnessed sexual misconduct, reports People. Lohan went on to state that she is “very supportive of women” although she did not have similar experiences.

However, she continued to call out “attention-seekers” who came forward as the movement began picking up steam. “You have these girls who come out, who don’t even know who they are, who do it for the attention,” Lohan said. “That is taking away from the fact that it happened.” She added:
“You make it a real thing by making it a police report. I’m going to really hate myself for saying this, but I think by women speaking against these things, it makes them look weak when they are very strong women.”
Many people have expressed their disdain towards Lohan’s comments over social media. The same happened back when Harvey Weinstein accusations first emerged. At the time, the actress stated that she “felt bad” for the producer. On her Instagram story, she wrote: “He’s never wronged me or done anything to me and we’ve done several movies together. I think everyone needs to stop. It’s wrong, so stand up.”
