Liam Payne is renting out his home in Los Angeles for $60,000 a month after his split with Cheryl Cole. There is a bit of a caveat, though, it turns out the place is haunted!

“We’ve got a really lovely place and when Cheryl was pregnant we were out there in L.A., but we’ve got a ghost in our top bedroom,” Payne told The Sun last year. “Cheryl wouldn’t stay in the top room, being pregnant with the baby. I’ve seen lights go on and off in the middle of the night and a few little creepy things, like taps turning on and off.”

Apparently, even the neighbors are aware of the haunting. He said that a woman approached his mom once and told her that the ghost of the previous resident lives in the property.

“If you don’t believe in it, I don’t think it can get to you,” the former One Direction member continued. “But Cheryl was like, ‘I’m not sleeping upstairs’. So we slept downstairs in the cinema room. First World problems.”

The home itself, however, is gorgeous. At 9,659 square feet, it has five bedrooms and eight bathrooms and sits on 4.69 acres, reports Wonderwall. Payne bought the house back in 2015 for $10 million. The property also includes two guest houses, a guard house, a koi pond, fitness center and a fully paneled library with a second floor gallery.
