John Legend Collaborates With K-Pop Star Wendy In Upcoming Duet [VIDEO]

In an upcoming duet called “Written In The Stars,” John Legend is working with K-Pop star Wendy from the band Red Velvet.

John Legend is working with a surprising artist on his next song: K-Pop star Wendy, from the band Red Velvet.

According to Billboard, the pair worked on a duet named “Written In The Stars” that will come out this month. They two revealed the news over Instagram on Sunday, October 7th.

This is John Legend’s first time working with a K-Pop artist.

While Wendy often performs in Korean, this new song will be entirely in English. The Canadian-raised singer said in a statement:

“[I’ve] been such a fan of John’s work for a long time, so to collaborate with him on this project was a dream.”

Red Velvet is one of the most popular girl groups in K-Pop right now as well as “one of the best-charting Korean acts on the World Albums chart,” according to Billboard.

The song is a part of SM Entertainment’s Station x 0 project, which pairs artists from different genres together to make new music.
