No, this isn’t a spoiler. Iron Man is literally gone – the Iron Man suit that Robert Downey Jr. wore is missing from the warehouse in Hollywood where it was being stored. The owners of the warehouse aren’t sure how long it’s been gone, either. The Iron Man suit was stolen!

The Marvel movie universe has been ever expanding (see what I did there?) for the past decade or more now. The original Iron Man suit (not the big clunky one that Tony Stark built in the cave, but the red and gold one) from the first movie is gone. The suit was being stored in a warehouse in Hollywood when officials at the warehouse couldn’t find it one day. Warehouse workers aren’t sure when it disappeared, but the suit was last seen in February. The warehouse discovered that the suit was missing on April 25th.

The prop storage facility is pretty confident that the suit was stolen. They called police and I’m sure they’re going through their archives of security footage. Hopefully they have an archive, anyway. A place like that, that stores high-dollar value props and movie memorabilia should have pretty hardcore security systems. The estimated value of the Iron Man “Mark III” suit is about $325,000. Pretty significant for a prop, but it was pretty highly detailed.

Check out some more info about the heist here. Hopefully it was just moved for cleaning or something. But with all the drama surrounding the missing suit, we’re pretty sure it was stolen.
