It’s simply referred to as “facial yoga,” and people are swearing that it’s making them look about 2 years younger after a few months. What exactly is involved? It’s non-botox, no fillers, or any sort of surgery or procedure.

How do you do it? Well, you pucker your lips, and suck in your cheeks. Apparently that’s all that’s involved. Well, there are a few other exercises that you can do, most of which involve the same sort of look you’d give a baby as you play with them, making funny faces. Seriously!

The names of the various faces you make are called “smiling fish face,” which is said to be “a particularly age-defying movement.” Another exercise is called “satchmo,” and that one makes you look like a toddler playing the “I’m going to hold my breath until I get what I want” game. It’s supposed to keep your cheeks more firm. A third is called “lion face,” and that involves opening your eyes wide, and sticking your tongue out, sort of like that one emoji (that was the first thing I thought of when I saw the picture). That one is supposed to stretch all the face muscles, as well as relieve tension. The final exercise is called “surprise me,” and that one is just a surprised-looking face appearance. It’s supposed to smooth out wrinkled browlines.

People are saying that by doing these 4 exercises for just 30 minutes a day for roughly 20 weeks, and you can look 2 years younger. Other people are arguing that those exercises might actually doing more harm than anything, and one doctor actually says that certain facial expressions may cause wrinkles rather than fix, but they key is moderation, of course. Check out the pictures of the exercises here, and some more info on what they do.
