Christmas came early for Ellen DeGeneres fans on Tuesday afternoon! Ellen shared during her season 16 premiere of The Ellen DeGeneres Show it’s been more than 15 years since she did stand-up comedy, and she’s back with an exciting announcement! She revealed that she not only has a Netflix special coming out, but also that it has an upcoming premiere date on Dec. 18! This will be her first one on Netflix entitled Relatable, taped over the summer she performed at Seattle’s Benaroya Hall. Ellen said:

“I mentioned that I worked a lot over the Summer. What I did was I went back to stand-up. I didn’t do stand-up for 15 years, and I just all of a sudden was like, ‘I miss stand-up. I want to do it.’ So I made a deal with Netflix, and I was working on stand-up all Summer. I taped it in Seattle. It was so much fun. I loved it so much. The audiences were great, Seattle was great. Thank you everybody in San Francisco and San Diego.”

Fans are freaking out – including ME! Watch Ellen’s announcement HERE and set a reminder for the third Tuesday in December, because you know it’s gonna be HELLA good!
