David Mueller Pays Taylor Swift Finally, In An Interesting Way

The radio DJ that goped Taylor Swift finally paid her the lawsuit payment she won, but he chose a rather interesting method as a ‘final jab.’

We reported on it daily as it was happening. We’re talking about the courtroom details about the DJ who groped Taylor Swift at a show in Denver. Taylor Swift talked about it in Time Magazine. She sued the DJ for just a dollar. It’s taken him this long to pay up.

He sent Taylor the dollar that he owed – that she sued him for. But what’s interesting is why he chose the dollar he did. He sent Taylor a Sacagawea dollar coin as payment. And, according to his own words, it was intended to be a final “jab” at Taylor. “I mean if this is all about women’s rights. … It’s a little poke at them, a little bit. I mean, I think they made this into a publicity stunt, and this is my life.” The Sacagawea coin, of course, features a Native American woman, and according to Wikipedia, it was meant to meant to “depict images celebrating the important contributions made by Indian tribes and individual Native Americans to the development of the United States and the history of the United States.”

Anyway, despite his sort of rude reason for sending the coin, he did pay, and he did show proof of payment, and the fact that it was sent last Tuesday, November 28th. So hey, at least he paid. Cue the “eye roll” emoji.
