Dakota Johnson Talks Filming ‘Those’ Scenes In ’50 Shades Freed’
Dakota Johnson talks filming certain scenes from the new ’50 Shades’ movie, and why it’s nowhere near as glamorous as it looked.

Watching the movie on the big screen, those sex scenes may have looked great, but Dakota Johnson was talking about what it was like to film those scenes, and it might be cringe-worthy.
Dakota says that the most difficult scenes to shoot in the entire “50 Shades” series were those specific sex scenes from “50 Shades Freed.” She recalls that yes, she was actually handcuffed down, both on her arms and her legs, and that blindfold was the real-deal. The scenes were rehearsed, but she says that once the action starts, no pun, and the blindfold is on, “no matter how prepared or rehearsed I was, when your senses are taken away like that, you can’t control the way your nervous system will react.”
Dakota says that the producers even hired a “sex advisor” to help the actors pull the scene off. The reason? “We just had people who specialized in knowing how things work, like how to use certain tools and toys.” She continued with “There’s a certain method. It’s very intricate and the details are really important… The rules are also really important. We didn’t want to go make a movie about something we didn’t research to the bone. So to really honor the BDSM community and we did it the right way.”
