Carrie Underwood took a nasty fall and the damage to her body is worse than she expected…

Back in November, Carrie’s publicist told us that Carrie had “non life-threatening injuries including a broken wrist and cuts and abrasions” after a fall in her home but Carrie released a note to her fans on New Years Eve and said that her injuries were worse than she thought:

Carrie wrote:

“In addition to breaking my wrist, I somehow managed to injure my face as well. I’ll spare you the gruesome details, but when I came out of surgery the night of my fall, the doctor told Mike that he had put between 40-50 stitches in. Now here we are 7 weeks later and, even though I’ve had the best people helping me, I’m still healing and not looking quite the same.”

Carrie hasn’t posted any recent pics but did write:

“When I am ready to get in front of a camera, I want you all to understand why I might look a bit different. I’m hoping that, by then, the differences are minimal, but, again, I just don’t know how it’s all going to end up.”

Our hearts are breaking for poor Carrie.

Carrie, we don’t care what you look like! We love you for so many more reasons than your face. Take care of yourself! We love you!
