There’s a new line of musical Valentine’s cards, and they can be played on a record player, because they’re actual records.

Yep – you can send Bruno Mars for Valentine’s Day. No, he’s not postal service friendly, and probably can’t be boxed up for more than a few hours (plus you might get arrested). What you can do is give his music in a card to someone, but the catch is that they need have a record player.

In lieu of a typical, boring card that just opens and makes someone actually read it (sarcasm, we love cards), Hallmark has just released a new line of music cards. These aren’t the typical ear-piercing, off-key music that blares out of a tiny little speaker that sounds like it got ran over and dragged by the USS Pampanito in the San Francisco Bay, but these cards come with physical music in the form of a 7″ record. Bruno Mars is one of their three featured artists, and the songs included on the Bruno disc are “Just the Way You Are” and “Marry Me.”

The other groups are INXS, and Aretha Franklin, and of course come with the obvious INXS song choices of “Need You Tonight” and “Never Tear Us Apart,” while the Aretha song choices are “Respect” and “Think.” Hallmark does say that they’re planning to expand the line throughout the year, and add some birthday cards on vinyl as well. Cards start around $13, and are in Hallmark stores and on Amazon. Check out more info here.
