Beyoncé’s Dad Thought Solange And Jay-Z’s Elevator Fight Was Hilarious
At the time, people thought that Solange and Jay-Z’s elevator fight at the 2014 Met Gala was really serious. Solange and Beyoncé’s dad, however, was never worried.

Back in 2014, people worried that Solange and Jay-Z’s elevator fight at the 2014 Met Gala meant something serious. Especially in regards to Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s marriage. After all, family squabbles can mean real trouble.
However, Beyoncé and Solange’s dad, Mathew Knowles, set the record straight. Mathew revealed in an interview with Wendy Williams that he laughed through the whole thing. He said:
“I laughed so hard because if you know Solange, that’s Solange. You just never know what you’re gonna get – a firecracker. I don’t know where she gets that from!”
Apparently Bey was also not worried, reports NME. Mathew continued:
“Then Beyoncé would be in the corner, quiet, just kinda, like, ‘When y’all finish, let me know.’ So I laughed.”
