Imagine finding out your best friend of 60 years is actually your biological sibling. INSANE.
That’s what happened to lifelong friends from Hawaii, Alan Robinson and Walter Macfarlane. Macfarlane never knew his father and Robinson was adopted. They were both trying to find out where they came from and after scouring the internet, they both turned to the popular Ancestry.com. At the top of Macfarlane’s DNA matches was username “Robi737” who he had an identical X chromosome match to. Turns out Robi737 is Robinson and they have the same birth mother. The two revealed this to their friends and family on Saturday night, right before Christmas.
